Earlier this year we had our national election and emotion was at fever pitch. I saw friend pitted against friend. The toxicity, anger and messages of division were, at times, almost impossible to believe.
I’ll be honest, at first I was angry about how it was all going down. The shouting was so loud that no one could be heard. Now, I’m just sad that a country full of larrikins and down-to-earth Aussies has become so caught up with barking at each other.

Every one of us is a great chief trying to be our very best selves. Now is the time to reach out to someone who has a different belief to you and have a coffee or a beer. Break bread.
The truth is, we are one of the greatest countries with over 20M ripping people and likely one of the most multicultural and accepting countries on the planet. We need to show the world again that we are just that.
Let’s reject the tribalism and, for at least a while, be mates.
